Movistar Plus+ Original Series continue to expand their international footprint, taking center stage at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals. From Cannes to Lille and Berlin, titles such as 'Many People Need To Die' ('Se tiene que morir mucha gente'), 'I Always Sometimes' ('Yo siempre a veces'), 'A 100-Million Reward' ('Por cien millones'), 'The Anatomy of a Moment' ('Anatomía de un instante') and 'The Center' ('El Centro') have been selected for official and competitive sections this season, reinforcing the platform’s position as a benchmark in premium fiction.

CANNESERIES: Two Original Series in Official Long Form Competition

Movistar Plus+ will take part in the upcoming edition of CANNESERIES, held from April 23 to 28, with two original productions selected for the Official Long Form Competition—where only eight series worldwide are chosen: 'Many People Need to Die' and 'I Always Sometimes'.

This double selection in a single edition marks a milestone for the platform, which previously won Best Series and the Special Performance Award with ‘Perfect Life’ by Leticia Dolera. In 2023, ‘The Left-Handed Son’ won Best Short Form Series, and ‘El Inmortal’ was also part of the Official Selection‘I Always Sometimes’ will premiere on Movistar Plus+ on April 23, while 'Many People Need To Die' will premiere in May.


SERIES MANIA: 'Anatomy of a Moment'



The Movistar Plus+ Original Series ‘Anatomy of a Moment’ was selected for the International Competition at Series Mania, the festival’s top tier, recently held in Lille (France). Chosen from 375 submissions, the series was among the 51 titles selected for this year’s official lineup, representing 16 countries. Movistar Plus+ had already made its mark at the previous edition of the festival, where ‘Querer’ and ‘Celeste’ received awards in their respective categories. In addition, “Los Años Nuevos” was also screened out of competition. ‘Anatomy of a Moment’, now available on Movistar Plus+, recorded the platform’s strongest premiere performance to date for an original series.


BERLINALE SERIES MARKET SELECTS: Recognition in Berlin



At the Berlinale Series Market Selects, held from February 12 to 17, 'A 100-Million Reward' and “The Center’ were included in a curated selection of 17 series and three standout docuseries. This year’s edition introduced the first Studio Babelsberg Production Excellence Award, with ‘The Center’ receiving a Special Mention, underscoring its impact within the international market. Both tv shows are now available on Movistar Plus+.
